The history of Kemper
Bakery Systems, LTD: Kemper Bakery Systems was founded in 1990
by Patricia Kennedy to serve the North American market as the
subsidiary to the bakery equipment manufacturer Kemper of Germany
(a Horstmann Group company) over the years we have successfully
placed thousands of machines for mixing, bread production and
roll production into the market.
In 1997 the Horstmann
Group made the acquisition of the Werner & Pfleiderer
Lebensmitteltechnik (Dinkelsbeuhl and Haton GmbH and Industrialle
Backtechnik GmbH) and Kemper Bakery Systems incorporated the
WP oven range and appropriate bread and roll equipment from
these brands into our offering to the market. Notably, the
WP Matador deck oven was a perfect fit to make a complete
turn- key offering to our customers and is fast becoming the
most sought after deck oven in the US market.
The year 2000 marked another significant
addition to the Horstmann Group with the acquisition of Winkler
GmbH and in 2001 Winkler USA. Winkler USA and Kemper Bakery
Systems now combines its forces under one roof to fully support
the North American Market. Kemper Bakery Systems manages the
sales and consulting for the Horstmann Group Brands and Winkler
USA manages all customer support for parts and service. This
combined know-how and resources allow us to bring you the
finest in equipment solutions with excellent after sales support
for the Horstmann Group in America.
